Apiculture Industry Development and Advocacy Fund of Iran Attendance at the 12th International Congress of Arab Beekeepers (ApiArab)
based on the articles 32 and 38 of the fifth 5-year development plan
According to the article 53 (B) of the 6-year development plan about commitment to invest in export development, Apiculture Industry Development and Advocacy Fund of Iran participated in 12th International Congress of Arab Beekeepers (ApiArab) held on October 1st to 3rd in Kurdistan, Iraq as an organization of export developmental and facilitation.
The purpose of this international event was to identify Iraq Kurdistan’s market and negotiate with the headquarters and stakeholders of beekeeping of the region in order to promote the beekeeping products and equipment exportation and also to get familiar with the potentials and influencers of other Arab countries in the beekeeping field.
Apiculture Industry Development and Advocacy Fund of Iran attendance in this international event has taken place with Agricultural Jihad of Kurdistan Province cooperation and Iraq- Kurdistan region within the framework of an agreement.
There has been several meetings with Iraqi Kurdistan officials in agriculture and beekeeping field and also officials from other Arab countries.
Apiculture Industry Development and Advocacy Fund Director Manager had meeting with the spokesperson of Iraqi Kurdistan ministry of Water and Agriculture
During the congress, Mr. Behzad Bankipour, the managing director of the beekeeping foundation had a meeting with the spokesperson of Iraq ministry of water and agriculture. During this meeting issues including the capacities of Iran beekeeping industry, the development of mutual cooperation were discussed and Mr. Hossein Rahim welcoming the development of reciprocal cooperation, offered useful guidance on investment process in Iraqi- Kurdistan region. Required arrangements were going to be done by him with other governmental officials and Kurdistan beekeeping stakeholders. During this meeting Mr. Madeh Hesami, the director of poultry and bees of Kurdistan province agricultural Jihad, had accompanied Mr. Bankipour.

Mr. Abul Rahim Omar Mustafa, the head of agricultural department of Erbil province in Iraq and the spokesperson of Iraq Agriculture Ministry had visited Iran booth and discussed the different ways for mutual cooperation.
Mr. Firooz Zarei, Economic Advisor of Iran Embassy in Erbil, Iraq along visit with Mr. Kazem Mohammadi, the head of the provincial Economic relations Bureau visited Apiculture Industry Development and Advocacy Fund of Iran stand in ApiArab exhibition
During the visit paid by Iranian consulate officials in Iraqi Kurdistan regions to Beekeeping Industry Development Foundation booth and meeting with Mr. Bankipour, it was decided over that all the correspondence and arrangements regarding the mentioned mutual cooperation would be coordinated through Iran consulate in Iraq.
Mr. Bankipour meeting with the head of Agriculture Department of Sulaimaniyah province
Agricultural organization of Kurdistan province has coordinated some arrangements so Mr. Behzad Bankipour could have a meeting with the head of Agriculture Department of Sulaimaniyah province. During this meeting some ways of cooperation were discussed and it was agreed upon to cooperate according to the agreement between Kurdistan province and Iraq Agricultural departments.
The joint meeting with members of Beekeepers’ Union Heads of Arab countries
During the 12th Beekeeping Congress of Arab Countries and the attendance of National Beekeeping Industry Development Foundation, there came an opportunity for Mr. Behzad Bankipour to meet the Head of Beekeepers union of Lebanon, Iraq and Syria. During this meeting the director of beekeeping industry capacities foundation was introduced and they got familiar with the Arab league members. Also a draft of agreement between Arab Beekepers’ union and National Beekeeping Industry Development Foundation was exchanged.
